Seattle, WA rapper Introspective (Gray Matters) & Portland, OR producer Lawz Spoken created The Soul Project in 2005, but never released the album. In 2007 Introspective re-recorded the album and released it before dropping "Gray Matters - Intelligent Decline" with himself & Portland, OR rapper The End aka MR MR. who is also featured on The Soul Project.
